SAMSUNG HEALTH 


Samsung’s ‘healthy daily life’ project

As a lead UX researcher of the first pilot project for Samsung Agile process,
collaborated with cross-functional team members at 10+ scrums to advocate benefit from User-centred-design and UX research such as Diary study, Contextual Inquiry and FGIs with loyal user groups of each trackers by presenting practical researches such as   as well as inviting them to listen to their users opinion on live.

Contributed on refining personal goal of ‘Exercise, Nutrition and Sleep’ newly suggested,

reward system for user engagement and revising main dashboard, UI interactions.

SAMSUNG CAMERA 

Started from the investigation of what is a nice photo the customers think.  
We met many people who love pretty selfies, beautiful landscapes and objects in unique mood and even desire professional blur effect.  For user engagement factors such as a variety of photo filters that fit in trend, Live focus,  Avatar creation and overall Camera UI renewal with easy swipe, contributed to its success by conducting essential researches at every stage of feature implementation.

Meticulously delivered sequential solutions in FIVE key research stages:
Heuristic evaluation - Competitive analysis with various camera and gallery apps on the market.
- Usability testing including blind tests, - Online surveys - FGIs.

S PEN EXPERIENCE

S Pen, the unique factor of  Samsung Galaxy Note Smartphone always desires to being loved more .

Upon a request to validate exist user definition, contributed defining new user segment groups, reconstruction of persona and confirming service strategy for new features such as LIVE message, GIF creator, and Screen off Memo by proving user segment groups and usage pattern of each segment.
Especially was targeted to young generation of loyalty group in their early 20s to increase influence in SNS.
Research collated through photo diary studies and FGIs from new user segments, which were founded through big data analysis of previous Galaxy Note products and pre-performed diary studies from last year.

GALAXY ICONX

Delivery of customer satisfaction project assisting athletes and sport-lovers with a functional app to track exercise data, play music without the direct use of smartphones. Through competitive analysis and extensive usability testing in terms of PUI (touch interface on earbuds) results were presented for defining features, comfort and fit, and a focus on building competitiveness with existing products on the market for first earbud type of cordless headset of Samsung. Conducted heuristic evaluation, competitive analysis, and one-on-one quick usability testing within each sprint of agile including extensive PUI test.

CUSTOMER SATISFACTION RESEARCH FOR SAMSUNG GALAXY NOTE9

Customer satisfaction researches post launching of new version of Galaxy S, Note series are one of the biggest annual research in Samsung for analysing customer reaction and feedback about newly introduced features, their expectation and satisfaction of new device as well as for determining strategy for upcoming succession product.
Collaborated with more than 50 UX researchers who are in charge of various service applications as Camera, Message, Bixby and etc over few months of the period from research planning and final presentation. Research methodically composed through three main methods; Diary studies, Online surveys, and FGIs with various type of user groups in Korea/U.S.A./U.K., recruited accurately based on their usage pattern, level of experience, loyalty about product or brand. Actively formed additional groups moved from competitor’s product for comparison.

TREND RESEARCH FOR SAMSUNG BIXBY 

Delivery of urgent project to provide UX trends and key features of Intelligence Agent in mobile market to help verify position of Samsung AI (Bixby) which was to be released within coming months. Main focus on:  
- UI comparisons including driving method, ways of response, visual metaphor
- Service range and charactor of AI assistants
- Analysis of user reviews from App store and websites from each app

Bringing and optimising the complex process for new Commercial Real Estate Loan for this new platform which facilitates efficient financing with a variety of opportunities. Working for Borrower/Lender personas, Journey map, User flow and High fidelity MVP product.

Helped Acceleration draw a desirable and intuitive UX/Service for new platform to assist people with disability looking for long-term placement based on their special needs and goals for work. Accessibility and soft UX based on Neumorphism were one of the key factors of design decision.

- Interviewed people with disability, carers of them, expert (DES provider) 
- Final deliverables ; 3 types of Persona, Journey map, IA, User Flow, High Fidelity MVP product
- Suggestions : accessibility widget implementation, user research to cover various disability

Helped Link4 Cloud which is a secured invoice delivery service to solve the problem that half of new customers doesn’t complete their onboarding process after signing up, finding pain point of user friction to improve existing process and to restructure the dashboard.
